WEEKENDEDITION Back in 2010 it was the most expensive co-op on the market. Today, the massive triplex atop 990 Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side is back on the market and the $42 million price tag hasn’t bugged an inch below the original 2010 ask. So is the third time the charm?

Friday, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom unit reentered the market — making it the third priciest listing of the week – with its price lowered from last summer’s unsuccessful $50 million ask.

Lois Nasser and Harry Nasser of Sotheby’s International Realty have the Rosario Candela-designed listing, which features five fireplaces, hand-carved moldings, and a terrace, according to Curbed. [Curbed]Christopher Cameron
