Etsy eyes move to Jared Kushner’s Dumbo Heights

E-commerce retailer would relocate from 15,000-square-foot spot at 55 Washington Street

E-commerce home goods site Etsy is in talks to pick up as much as 200,000 square feet in Jared Kushner’s Dumbo Heights complex.

The company, currently located at Nearby 55 Washington Street, is reportedly looking to expand to one of the five former Watchtower buildings. Exactly which locale Etsy might pick up was not immediately clear.

The complex, which consists of 175 Pearl Street, 55 And 81 Prospect Street, 117 Adams StreetAnd 77 Sands Street, is slated to receive its first occupants in the first quarter of 2015 and has asking rents starting at just under $60 per square foot. Kushner Companies, Aby Rosen’s RFR Realty and Invesco purchased the properties last year for $375 million, and have since rebranded the buildings as a high-tech office complex.
