Stop wine-ing in the North Fork

Two recently opened breweries take on the local vineyard scene

From Luxury Listings NYC: Travel east through the North Fork from Riverhead to Greenport, and a total of 39 wineries lie along the way, according to the Long Island Wine Council. Tours and tastings  —  generally in rustic settings  —  have long been popular happenings in the area. But travel along the same route, and you’ll stumble upon five craft breweries  —  three of which are located in Riverhead, and two of them are recent upstarts in the town. Over a dozen other craft breweries dot Long Island, perhaps giving the wine scene some boozy competition. [more]
