Leasing has begun at the Residences at the Writing Room, an Upper East Side apartment building that formerly housed the iconic restaurant Elaine’s.

The five-story project at 1703-05 Second Avenue is 85 percent complete. There will be 14 apartments, including a single one-bedroom and 13 units that are a mix of two- and three-bedrooms. Rents begin at $3,600 per month, the New York Post reported.

Renters are expected to move in at the start of July. Each unit features a washer and dryer, granite kitchens and exposed brick. Town Residential brokers Joshua Kwilecki and John Carapella are handling leasing and marketing.
