Let’s get visual.

For the July/August issue, Luxury Listings NYC met up with Domingo Zapata at his Gramercy Park digs, where nearly completed works of art dot the 8,600-square-foot triplex. The a-list artist redefines the meaning of work-life balance, moving from a 2,300-square-foot penthouse at the Bowery Hotel to secure more space for his art and salon-style dinner discussions with the likes of Salman Rushdie and Lindsay Lohan.

We take the decorating game up a notch with some insight on how to start an art collection. From meeting the artists personally to figuring out what kind of pieces to start with, Luxury Listings NYC offers some beginners tips to becoming your very art own collector.

Marv Albert shows off his personal side at his spacious 150 Columbus Avenue home. Picture a sports lover’s dream dwelling–photos with such legends as Larry Bird and Patrick Ewing and a basketball stamped with the name of a NBA commissioner–and you’d just scratch the surface of the famed broadcaster’s home office.

In addition, we look at Manhattan’s poshest private pools and break down the record-breaking year for home sales in Long Island’s bastion of billionaires.

Enjoy! –Kerry Barger

Domingo Zapata is a joke, the reason he should be in the Real Deal is to warn agents not to rent to this guy, he will bounce checks, destroy the property with his dog, paint and smoke; he will end up leaving only because the owner wants the nightmare to end.

Great cover. Love how he is smoking. We need to bring back smoking to this city. Looking forward to getting my print edition on my front door.
