WEEKENDEDITION Two 19th-century Upper East Side rowhouses are being combined, not to create sprawling a mega-mansion, but a three-unit multi-family building.

The owner of the townhomes, located at 15 East 77th StreetAnd 17 East 77th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues, has already been given approval by the Landmarks Preservation Commission to merge the buildings.
