New triangular building rising in Crown Heights
The small, oddly shaped building is already on the market for $2.5 million
It’s been five years in the making, but a triangular lot in Crown Heights is now poised to become a four-story residential building.
This spring, the 1,000-square-foot lot on Washington Avenue near Montgomery Street sold for $330,000 to a developer going by Washington Ave Dev LLC, according to DNAinfo. Now, construction is underway and the building is already on the market for $2.5 million with Bond New York.
“They’re trying to make the most with the square footage,” said Lucas Dallavalle, the Bond broker at the 995 Washington Avenue site. “It’s a great use of that very odd-shaped lot.”
When completed the building will include two residential duplexes and space on the first floor and basement for a tenant like a doctor or architect, Dallavalle told DNAinfo.
However, future tenants should be aware that the building butts up against the Franklin Avenue shuttle, which runs by every 10 minutes on weekdays. [DNAinfo] – Christopher Cameron
