The Hamptons getaway of Gilded Age heiress and socialite Consuelo Vanderbilt Balsan has hit the market asking $28 million.
Located on Ox Pasture Road in Southampton, the home was built around 1900 and is known as “Gardenside” or “Cara-Mia.” Balsan was the great-granddaughter of railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt and owned the house until her death in 1964, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Tim Davis of the Corcoran Group has the listing and declined to name the current owners. But according to public records, Robert Goldstein, executive vice president of global gaming operations at Las Vegas Sands Corp, and his wife, Sheryl, own the estate.
