Development site near Astoria Cove asking $60M

Vernon Realty's parcel at 11-12 30th Drive could hold 460K square feet for resi use

Long Island-based development firm Vernon Realty Associates listed a large development site in Astoria for $60 million.

The site at 11-12 30th Drive, spanning Vernon Boulevard through 12th Street, can hold as much as 460,000 square feet for residential use. A building could rise up to 10 stories.

For now, grocery wholesaler Bohea Associates occupies the one-story factory property on the site, located near Alma Realty’s megadevelopment Astoria Cove.

Last year, Brent Carrier, former president of Vernon Realty, was sued for allegedly persuading the owners of a Long Island City taxi lot to invest millions in a development he never built and instead lavishing the funds on his personal expenses, as previously reported. [Crain’s]Mark Maurer
