Long Island-based development firm Vernon Realty Associates listed a large development site in Astoria for $60 million.
The site at 11-12 30th Drive, spanning Vernon Boulevard through 12th Street, can hold as much as 460,000 square feet for residential use. A building could rise up to 10 stories.
For now, grocery wholesaler Bohea Associates occupies the one-story factory property on the site, located near Alma Realty’s megadevelopment Astoria Cove.
Adam Spies and Doug Harmon of Eastdil Secured have the listing.
Last year, Brent Carrier, former president of Vernon Realty, was sued for allegedly persuading the owners of a Long Island City taxi lot to invest millions in a development he never built and instead lavishing the funds on his personal expenses, as previously reported. [Crain's] — Mark Maurer
