The building is being developed by an entity known as SC Nevins LLC and will feature 61 apartments. It’s being designed by Incorporated, according to Curbed.

“The team’s desire to connect the building to Brooklyn and its craft movement has them pursuing handmade brick as construction material,” Incorporated said in a prepared statement. “Budget constraints make using handmade bricks impossible, but the designers are set on creating something other than the brick box, common throughout BK. Keeping with the BK craft movement, reclaimed timber, evocative of the loft beam structures, is used to create privacy screening at the balconies …”

The building’s one bedrooms will average 650 square feet. While two-and-three-bedroom units will average 845 square feet and 1,195 square feet, respectively. The building’s penthouse is about 1,553 square feet. [Curbed]Christopher Cameron
