Dupont Street Developers LLC plans to soon begin tearing down more than six properties to construct a 400-unit apartment building in Greenpoint.

The developer filed demolition permits earlier in the month for several buildings, excluding the main 1930s-era factory at 280 Franklin Street. The buildings include 49, 71 and 93 Dupont Street, and 22, 26, 30 and 32 Clay Street.

The former owner, 49 Dupont Realty, sold all 10 sites for a total of $23.5 million in May, as The Real Deal reported at the time. Bo Jin Zhu was the authorized signatory for Dupont Street Developers LLC. That company inked a purchase contract in August 2012 to buy the site from Joseph Folkman, president of the seller, 49 Dupont Realty.

New owner Dupont Street Developers LLC has an address at a Borough Park law firm, but its identity is unclear. [Brownstoner]Mark Maurer
