Top-producing Town Residential broker Brett Miles, who joined the company about a year after it launched in 2010, is headed to Douglas Elliman.

At Town, Miles brokered the sale of a $30 million townhouse at 47 East 74th Street on the Upper East Side, a $26 million condominium at the Related Companies’ Superior Ink and the sellout of 385 West 12th Street in the West Village. He is also currently the co-head of sales at Tribeca Development Partners and Gold Development’s 15 Leonard Street in Tribeca.

Miles will be based out of Elliman’s 90 Hudson Street office and will continue to focus on high-end condominium and townhouse sales, Elliman COO Stephen Kotler told The Real Deal.

A big part of the draw for Miles was Elliman’s newly-announced partnership with the U.K.-based Knight Frank Residential, which will join forces with Elliman to market the top 10 percent of the brokerage’s New York metro, South Florida and Los Angeles listings, Kotler told TRD.

“We suspect he’ll continue to grow that business further with our new alliance — he’s going to be able to create more of a global base for his customers,” Kotler said.

Miles did not immediately return calls seeking comment on his move.

Miles joined Town, which launched in 2010 with two branches and space for around 140 agents, in 2011, along with Susan Green, a former colleague of his at Brown Harris Stevens. The duo’s Town move followed that of Wendy Maitland, now Town’s director of sales, and Reid Price, who went to Elliman last year.

Town sued Price over the move, alleging breach of a noncompete agreement, and claimed its former new development chief owed the firm $500,000.

There will be no legal issues with Miles’ departure, however, a Town spokesperson told TRD.

“We wish him well,” Maitland said through a spokesperson.
