Ian Schrager’s Lower East Side hotel and residence has attracted one of the fashion industry’s leading photographers.
Mario Testino purchased a three-bedroom apartment at Schrager’s 215 Chrystie Street, sources told the New York Post. Prices at the property, which has 11 full- and half-floor apartments and 370 hotel rooms under Schrager’s Public brand, range from $7 million to $20 million, according to the newspaper.
Testino is known for his work in leading fashion magazines and for photographing the British royal family. He is currently selling his three-bedroom home at Schrager’s 40 Bond Street, which he bought for $6 million in 2007, according to the Post. [NYP] — Tom DiChristopher
