New details revealed for Icon Realty’s 1562 Second Avenue

Architecture firm Issac & Stern has filed permits for Icon Realty Management’s 1562 Second Avenue, offering new details about the prewar-style residence.

The 14-story building at Second Avenue and East 81st Street will comprise 43,832 square feet of space and contain 12 apartments, according to permits spotted by New York YIMBY. The developer will set aside 2,192 square feet on the ground floor for retail.

There is no indication yet whether the units will be rentals or condominiums. The apartments pencil out to an average of 3,400 square feet each, according to YIMBY. [NY YIMBY] – Tom DiChristopher
