If the next BuzzFeed quiz you take is “Which New York City Piece of Real Estate Are You?” or “29 Ways You Know You Should Sign That Lease,” don’t be surprised. The popular website is looking for new office space that could boost the company’s presence in New York to more than 400,000 square feet.

BuzzFeed is in the middle of negotiations at a number of locations, according to the New York Post, including 225 Park Avenue South. That space — 472,602 square feet in the American Woolen Company Building — is being vacated by the Port Authority, which is moving into 4 World Trade Center. Asking rents are more than $85 per square foot.

Until the company finds a bigger space, BuzzFeed has inked a 43,000-square-foot short-term sublease for the 6th floor at 40 West 23rd Street from AppNexus, the newspaper reported. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Mark Weiss and Rob Eisenberg represented AppNexus. Colliers International’s Andrew Roos and Michael Cohen represented the owners of the building.

Olmstead Properties’ Steven Marvin is BuzzFeed’s broker.

Last year, Buzzfeed moved into a nearly 58,000-square-foot sublease from Tiffany at 200 Fifth Avenue. [NYP, 2nd] — Claire Moses
