JPMorgan Chase inked a 10-year deal for roughly 123,000 square feet at Brookfield Property Partners’ 16-story office building at 450 West 33rd Street, also known as 5 Manhattan West.
The bank, which recently decided not to construct a new headquarters on the far West Side, will take the full ninth floor at the 1.7 million-square-foot tower. The tri-state-area digital teams will be consolidated at the new space.
A Cushman & Wakefield team led by Bruce Mosler and Josh Kuriloff represented the landlord in the deal. JPMorgan was in talks for space there back in September, as previously reported.
In August, digital advertising firm R/GA Media Group signed a lease for 173,000 square feet on part of the 11th floor and the full 12th floor in the building.
Brookfield has launched a $200 million renovation of the site, which will result in unobstructed floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass exterior. [WSJ, 2nd] — Mark Maurer
