Owner of Kiefer Sutherland’s former home flips property

Owners bought the property from the actor in 2012 for $17.5M; most recent ask was $20M

Kiefer Sutherland’s former West Village home is trading hands again, after 16 months.

The West Village townhouse at 763 Greenwich Street hit the market in October with an ask of $22 million. Owner Lisa Matlin, wife of  distressed debt king David Matlinhas, lowered the price to $20 million soon after, the New York Daily News reported. The couple bought the home from Sutherland for $17.5 million in September 2012. The actor paid $8 million for the townhouse in 2008.

Urban Compass’ Leonard Steinberg, who had the listing, declined to tell the paper the purchase price.

The townhouse includes five-and-a-half bathrooms. Before Sutherland bought the home – and sold it in less than 24 hours after listing the mansion — it underwent a Steven Gambrel renovation.
