Faby Del Orbe had locked his safety harness to the exterior of the Harold Pratt House at 58 East 68th Street at Park Avenue in September 2012, according to the New York Daily News. While leaning back, his harness came loose and the man fell more than 30 feet, hitting an iron fence on the way down.

A judge decided that the think tank and publisher was liable, according to the newspaper, which lead to a settlement reached last month. Del Orbe suffered fractures of the vertebrae, pelvis and rib and spent three weeks in a coma. [NYDN] — Claire Moses
