Madison Square Garden may be hosting the NBA’s All-Star game this year, but that doesn’t mean Brooklyn isn’t getting a piece of the action.

With All-Star Weekend set to kick off at the Barclays Center Friday, Nike has inked a pop-up agreement for one of Brooklyn’s priciest retail locations for a Jordan-brand themed outlet.

Nike has signed a short-term agreement for about 3,700 square feet across from the arena at 166 Flatbush Avenue, in between shops recently leased to True Religion Jeans and Shake Shack, according to Brooklyn brokerage TerraCRG.

“This space is the most visible location when fans enter and exit the Barclays Center and we expect the Nike Jordan brand to make a make a big splash during All-Star week,” Peter Schubert, Terra CRG’s managing director of commercial leasing, said in a statement.

While TerraCRG would not comment on rents, a 2014 borough retail report from rival brokerage CPEX Real Estate Services put the stretch of Flatbush across from Barclays as one of Brooklyn’s priciest retail strips, with rents averaging between $150 and $199 per square foot.

The store, described by Nike as “the ultimate sneaker boutique,” will feature special-edition products, custom-designed footwear and appearances by yet-to-be named special guests, according to the brokerage.

All-Star Weekend kicks off in Brooklyn Friday at 9 p.m. with the Rising Stars Challenge, where second-year NBA players from the U.S. match up against first- and second-year players from around the world.
