The Durst Organization revealed a new rendering for a 10-story rental building at 600 West 58th Street, next door to the developer’s Bjarke Ingels-designed pyramid.

Durst filed permits for the 80/20 rental building on the corner of 11th Avenue in January. It will include 53 market-rate apartments and 12 affordable units. The building will span 120,000 square feet, with a retail and community facility component on the ground floor, New York YIMBY reported. Studio V Architecture is handling design.

“Studio V’s design for 600 West 58th Street is a beautiful compliment to Bjarke Ingels-inspired architecture for the 57th Street building,” Alexander Durst told the website. “Once completed, the block will be a mecca of innovative design with nearly 1,400 units of rental housing including more than 275 affordable apartments.”

In addition to the under-construction pyramid at 625 West 57th Street, Durst also owns the third building on the block, a 598-unit residential tower called the Helena. [NY YIMBY]Tess Hofmann
