NYC’s oldest $20M-plus listing sells at last
Tribeca condo sat on market for 1,600 days, dropped $4M in price
It appears that this is the end of the 60 Warren Street penthouse’s stint as the longest listed New York City apartment asking $20 million or more.
After languishing on the market for more than four years, the Tribeca building’s penthouse sold for the full asking price of $24.5 million, reported the New York Observer. According to StreetEasy, the 10,911-square-foot condo was listed for 1,600 days and fell in price by $4 million during that time period.

The property’s owner blamed the raising of a new building close to the penthouse as a top reason it had remained on the market so long. He also pointed to the condo’s size, which he said could be “too big for two people.”
Stephen McRae of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller of the property, which held the top spot on TRD‘s June 2014 list of the 10 Manhattan properties priced over $20 million that have sat on the market the longest.
