After selling to a group of investors for $14 million in 2013, Montauk’s East Deck Motel and Resort is back on the market asking $25 million.

The owners, a group of investors that reportedly includes Energy Brands CEO J. Darius Bikoff, had invested millions in the property with plans to convert it to a private surf club — but local residents didn’t take well to the idea of making it exclusive.

The property includes an Olympic-size swimming pool and five oceanfront acres.

Potential buyers who have already staked out the property include Ian Schrager and Sean MacPherson, according to the New York Post.

Sotheby’s International Realty’s Ed Bruehl and Rylan Jacka have the listing, but would not comment on the seller or potential buyers.

Last year, a group of 100 surfers held a peaceful protest against the property’s conversion to a private club. Montauk topped a list of most expensive places to stay in New York State last year. [NYP] — Tess Hofmann
