Online sale of East Harlem walk-up breaks area record

Four-story property sold for $607 per square foot

Real estate bidding website Auction.com is claiming it broke a record in East Harlem with the $2.2 million sale of 1700 Lexington Avenue.

The property sold for $607 per square foot, which the website claimed is a record for a one- to four-family home in that area, according to the New York Observer.

The sale of the 3,552-square-foot property was finalized on February 19, according to the publication, after two days of bidding between Dec. 17 and 19. Eastern Consolidated’s Carlos Olson represented seller Eva Robledo.

The building includes two two-bedroom apartments as well as two one-bedroom units. The first floor can also be used for retail space. [NYO] — Claire Moses
