A battle between New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Donald Trump is headed to court.
Schneiderman sued the Donald in 2013 for $40 million, claiming that the mogul is running an untrustworthy real estate school, the New York Post reported. Schneiderman charged that Trump University — which asked for $35,000 in tuition — made false claims.
Over Twitter, Trump has since called Schneiderman a “lightweight,” claiming the attorney general tried to ask for political donations from Ivanka Trump.
Schneiderman has asked for more documents while Trump has been fighting to get the case dismissed, according to the newspaper. Justice Cynthia Kern denied both those motions, the newspaper reported, and ruled that the case will have to be tried. [NYP] — Claire Moses
