Frank Sinatra’s former UES pad sells for $5M

Buyer is architect Marvin Mitchell

The Sultan of Swoon’s former penthouse in the Edgewater on the Upper East Side sold to architect Marvin Mitchell for $4.9 million.

Frank Sinatra owned the apartment from about 1962-1972, and used it as a crash pad when he was visiting New York City from the West Coast. The three-level co-op, at 530 East 72nd Street, spans 3,200 square feet and boasts views of the East River, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The seller was Penny Hart, CEO of TSC Direct Insurance. She bought the place four years ago and completed renovations, but never moved in.
