Though not charged with any wrongdoing, the firm has been thrust into a glaring spotlight. Yet sources say the company’s 100-year-old founder and chairman, Leonard Litwin, remains in the shadows.

Litwin, who founded Glenwood in 1961, no longer comes into the firm’s main Long Island office and has very little knowledge about the corruption cases, according to sources familiar with the situation. Executives at Glenwood have avoided discussing matters with him, so as to not upset him, sources said. [more]
