Widow of Bernie Madoff’s son sells Soho condo for $9M

Stephanie Mack and her late husband bought the unit for $6.1M in 2005

Stephanie Mack, widow of infamous Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff’s son Mark Madoff, has officially sold the couple’s Soho apartment for $9 million, according to property records filed with the city Monday.

Michael Karp, a Pennsylvania-based developer, is listed as the manager of 158 Mercer Street Associates 4M LLC, the entity that bought the unit, property records show.

The three-bedroom apartment at 583 Broadway, also known as 158 Mercer Street, spans 4,169 square feet and includes two-and-a-half bathrooms. It’s also the place where Mark Madoff committed suicide in 2010.

The couple paid $6.1 million for the apartment in 2005.

Sotheby’s International Realty’s Stephen McRae and Debbie Korb had the listing. McRae and Korb could not immediately be reached.

Vera Wang’s ready-to-wear flagship store is located in the building. Jon Bon Jovi recently sold his unit in the building for $34 million. Arianna Huffington bought a pad in the Soho building in 2013 for $8.2 million.
