Steel mogul Leroy Schecter relists 15 CPW pad for $55M

The largest unit inside the Robert A.M. Stern-designed 15 Central Park West hit the market for $55 million.

Steel magnate Leroy Schecter owns the five-bedroom apartment, which has been rented by Robert de Niro and Yankee Alex Rodriguez, according to the New York Daily News. The 6,000-square-foot pad includes six bathrooms and spans the full 35th floor of the building.

After Schecter bought the Rothschild mansion on the Upper East Side for $25 million in 2012, he has been looking to sell his CPW unit, according to the newspaper. Initially, Schecter listed the apartment for $95 million. Since then, the mogul switched brokers and chopped the price.
