The latest batch of reports found that the new development price per square foot in Williamsburg is up 86 percent year-over-year and Manhattan’s office market posted positive absorption for the sixth consecutive month.

Residential

July 2015 housing market report: New York State Association of Realtors

The New York State housing market posted gains in closed sales, median price and pending sales in July.  The median sales price for a home in the state, not including Manhattan, was up 4.1 percent from June to $242,000 in July. Read the full report here.

August 2015 Brooklyn new developments: Halstead Property Development Marketing

The average price per square foot for Brooklyn new developments rose drastically year-over-year in August.  In Williamsburg, prices were up 86 percent from the same period last year, and rose 70 percent in Downtown Brooklyn. Read the full report here.

NYC cheapest and most expensive neighborhoods to rent: Zumper

New York City was the second-most expensive rental market nationwide this summer, with the median price of one bedroom at $3,100. NoMad ranked as the city’s most expensive neighborhood, while prices in Astoria were a median of $2,100. Read the full report here.
