You can buy almost anything on Alibaba, but for a deluxe pad in a New York classic building, you have to go to the source.

The Alibaba Group’s general counsel and corporate secretary Timothy Steinert dropped $9.5 million on a extra-large unit at the century-old Ansonia building on the Upper West Side, the New York Post reported.

The seven-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot unit, apartment 6-77 at 2109 Broadway, features a solarium and a wrap balcony.

Michel Madie of Michel Madie Real Estate was the seller. The apartment previously listed for $12 million.

The building has a long and colorful history. The Ansonia, built in 1899, was home, in the 1970s, to a gay bathhouse where Bette Midler performed. It later housed the swingers’ club Plato’s Retreat, which was shut down by Mayor Ed Koch in 1980. Igor Stravinsky, Babe Ruth and Angelina Jolie have all called it home.
