A delivery truck snagged a pile of plywood at DDG Partners’ 325 West Broadway construction site in Soho, bringing down a scaffold. No one was injured.

The crash, which occurred Tuesday at around 4:30 p.m., brought down the plywood, which fell into a “secured work zone,” according to Department of Buildings spokesperson Alex Schnell.

DOB issued a violation for a “failure to maintain” a safe work environment.DDG is developing a 10-story condo building on the site, which it’s calling XOCO325. Xoco, the Catalan word for “chocolate” – a reference to the former Tootsie Roll factory at the site – is pronounced “sho-ko.”

A permit application filed in 2011 calls for 45,000-square feet of residential space at the building.

The luxury development will be ready for tenants sometime in early 2016, according to brokers at Corcoran Sunshine, which is marketing the building, DNAinfo reported.

DDG bought the site for $38.5 million in 2012.

The developer also recently built luxury condos at 345 West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District and at 41 Bond Street in Noho. [DNAinfo]Ariel Stulberg
