Socialite’s co-op at 4 East 66th Street hits the market for $65M

A co-op unit renovated by “leather daddy of luxury” Peter Marino is on the block — and its cost is anything but supple, at $65 million.

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom apartment takes up the entire third floor of 4 East 66th Street, and features views of Central Park, three entertaining rooms, marble baths, a laundry room, a maid’s room and numerous fireplaces. Socialite Shafi Roepers owns the pricey pad.

Marino, the leather-obsessed architect best known for designing stores for luxury retailers like Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, recently renovated the interior space, the New York Post reported.

Sotheby’s International Realty broker Serena Boardman has the listing.

A fifth-floor co-op in the J.E.R. Carpenter-designed building was listed for $48 million by Daniel Nir, founder of hedge fund Gracie Capital, in May but no longer appears to be on the market. [NYP] — James Kleimann
