Attention millionaires looking to escape NYC: Here are the priciest suburban rentals

Generally speaking, no amount of money can buy a private beach in New York City. The ritziest homes in counties surrounding the city, however, tend to come with a couple hundred feet of shoreline.

RentCafé, an apartment search website owned by Yardi, compiled a list of the most expensive rental homes in areas neighboring New York City. A seven-bedroom home in Nassau County, New York, topped the list with a monthly rent of $60,000. Prospective renters of the property can expect 300 feet of private beach, a movie theater and an indoor pool, according to the listing.

Homes in Westchester County largely dominated the list with three properties making the top 10. The remaining suburban homes were in Nassau County, Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Bergen and Hudson counties in North Jersey.
