Talk about boxing out. Former NBA player and current Columbia University sociology student Troy Murphy is looking to find a renter to take his funky Astor Place apartment.

The 6-foot-11 ex-power forward has listed his sleek two-bedroom, two-bathroom co-op unit at Charles Gawthmey and Robert Siegel’s 445 Lafayette Street for $14,500 a month.

The 1,449-square-foot Noho property, which is listed by Marisa Sargent and Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group, has floor-to-ceiling windows, a smart home system, built-in speakers in every room and automated shades. Ceilings on the 10th floor unit, as you might imagine, are tall, and the apartment comes fully furnished.

Modlin was not immediately available for comment.

Murphy, who last played for the Dallas Mavericks, has owned the apartment since his playing days with the Golden State Warriors in the 2000s.

The son of retired schoolteachers is nearing his degree in sociology at Columbia after reportedly earning close to $70 million over his playing career.

He’s not the only big name to have called the 39-unit co-op home.

Kristen Fisher, the widow of Fisher Brothers heir Richard Fisher, sold her unit earlier this year for $14 million — $3,368 per square foot.
