Think tank Human Condition signs at RXR’s 61 Broadway
Startup borne from a WeWork space takes full floor at 790K sf FiDi tower
Human Condition Global, a self-described “think-and-do” tank that WeWork named one of its hottest young companies, is trading its Financial District co-working digs for 25,000 square feet at RXR Realty’s 61 Broadway.
The consulting firm, founded in 2007 by CEO Peter Raymond, signed a lease for nearly 25,000 square feet on the full 31st floor of the 33-story tower, according to sources. The asking rent for the space is $54 per square foot, sources said.
When Human Condition relocates from its current headquarters at WeWork’s 222 Broadway location it will join tenants at 61 Broadway such as Bjarke Ingels Group and financial firm Samuel A. Ramirez & Co. at 61 Broadway.
A representative for Human Condition declined to comment on the deal.
Earlier this year, a subsidiary of the company that develops wearable technology designed to prevent job-site construction injuries won the judge’s choice award at WeWork’s Demo Day.
RXR is selling a minority stake in the 790,000-square-foot office building to an unidentified offshore investor, in a deal valuing the property at $440 million.
