Creative design firm Visualhouse’s latest predictive rendering of what the New York City skyline could look like in the future is a real beauty, accounting for planned skyscrapers from the likes of Jean Nouvel and Bjarke Ingels that promise to transform the shape of Manhattan.

The rendering, which predicts what the city’s skyline will look like in 2030 facing east from over the Hudson River, depicts a crop of soaring new glass-and-steel skyscrapers rising over Manhattan at dusk (or possibly dawn). Related Cos.’ massive Hudson Yards mega-development and a crop of promised, ultra-luxury Billionaires’ Row skyscrapers on 57th Street are among those visible.

A different rendering by Visualhouse released earlier this year took a similar approach – projecting what the Midtown Manhattan skyline, in particular, will look like come 2030. [6sqft] — Rey Mashayekhi
