A 25-foot-wide, 11,000-square-foot Upper East Side building has hit the market for $40 million, the New York Observer reported, and offers the chance for a single-family conversion. Massey Knakal is exclusively marketing the property.

Praise the Lord. A 10-acre Jesuit retreat on Staten Island that is ripe for development has hit the market for $15.95 million, Crain’s reported. Guthrie Garvin and Michael Schneider of Massey Knakal Realty Services are marketing the property for the New York Province of the Society of Jesus, a Catholic order that owns the site.

The lot, located at 239 Fingerboard Road, will be delivered vacant and is already zoned for residential development. A developer can build up to approximately 113,000 square feet on the site. [more]

A single-family mansion on the Upper East Side once home to one of the original founders of Cohen Brothers Realty has sold for $16 million, according to public records filed with the city today.

The 7,600-square-foot home, at 7 East 69th Street, once belonged to Edward Baron Cohen and hit the market just 90 days ago with a $20 million asking price. It was listed by Guthrie Garvin of Massey Knakal Realty Services. Garvin was not immediately available for comment. [more]
