From the South Florida site: Rocker-turned-designer Lenny Kravitz’s latest work has him designing at a number of Miami projects, including several units at the upcoming SLS South Beach and the Paramount Bay in downtown Miami, the New York Times reported. Kravitz’s New York-based company, Kravitz Design, which he assures the Times he gives more than his name to, completed projects from New York to Paris, including a Madison Avenue sushi restaurant, before setting its sights on Miami. ”What I like about the Paramount Bay is that it’s on the bay; it’s not in South Beach,” Kravitz told the Times. • From the South Florida website: The new ownership of Miami’s 47-story Paramount Bay condominium has tapped Lenny Kravitz to redesign the property’s interiors and outdoor space, including the spa fitness center, lobby and pool terraces. The 340-unit project was taken over through a foreclosure by lender iStar and ST Residential, which recently ponied up the rest of the financing needed to complete the long-awaited, mixed-use tower. • Lenny Kravitz and his apartment at 362 Broadway

An apartment that once belonged to Lenny Kravitz is now available for rent
at 362 Broadway, Curbed reported. The asking price for the

  • New York City theater fixture Laurence Isaacson has placed his 30 Crosby Street apartment on the market for $7 million, after failing to sell the unit in 2006, when it had a $6.45 million price tag attached to it. The building is a notorious celeb magnet, drawing in stars like Courtney Love and Lenny Kravitz, who also had a bit of difficulty selling his 30 Crosby abode — the rocker underwent seven years of sales attempts before successfully unloading it. Isaacson’s three-bedroom, four-bathroom unit, which includes a 500-bottle wine cave, is listed by the Corcoran Group.

  • Lenny Kravitz’s duplex penthouse at 30 Crosby Street is finally in contract after a major renovation and years of coming on and off the market, according to Curbed. The eight-room, 6,000-square foot condo was last listed for $14.995 million, though it first hit the market in 2002 for $17 million, and, by 2004, was down to $12.95 million. In 2006, Kravitz pulled the listing to give his pad a rumored $1 million makeover. The apartment returned to the market in 2007 for $19.5 million prior to its latest price cut in November 2008. Kravitz originally purchased the spot in 2001 for $8.5 million. It has 3,000 square feet of outdoor space including a roof deck and terrace with a wood burning fireplace and a suspended glass staircase that leads to a second-level master bedroom. Bruce and Andrea Wohl Lucas of the Corcoran Group had the listing. [Curbed]

  • From the South Florida Web site: The recent revelation that
basketball star Shaquille O’Neal finally sold his mega-manse on swanky
Star Island for $16 million — a substantial discount from the $35
million he once sought — might not thrill his neighbors. They include
Rosie O’Donnell, Gloria Estefan, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Lenny Kravitz
and billionaire Phillip Frost, and it’s a safe bet none would welcome
being added to the list of celebrity poster children for the luxury
housing crunch. The sale price of $16 million is a mind-numbing drop of
54 percent from his original list price in 2005 of $35 million. Comments
