Victoria’s Secret CEO Lori Greeley and 2 Herald Square

UPDATED, 7:50 p.m., May 21: Lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret inked a 60,000-square-foot lease to take two additional floors above its flagship retail location in Herald Square to use as offices, training space and storage.

The store, a division of the Ohio-based public company Limited Brands, signed a lease during the first quarter of 2013 for floors four and five at 2 Herald Square, a 380,000-square-foot office and retail building at the corner of Broadway and 34th Street, owned by Sitt Asset Management, David Sitt, a principal with the firm, told The Real Deal. Retail conglomerate Limited Brands has inked a deal for almost 100,000 square feet of office space at 1740 Broadway, at 56th Street, the New York Observer reported.

The company, which owns retailers such as Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works, has signed for floors 14 through 17 in a 10-year lease, engineered to coincide with the expiration of their other space in the Vornado-owned building, where they currently lease approximately another 400,000 square feet.

A duplex apartment at 834 Fifth Avenue has been sold to developer Larry Heyman for $36 million in the priciest Manhattan co-op sale in more than a year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Rosario Candela-designed building, at 64th Street, was once the home of Laurance Rockefeller, and now claims four of Manhattan’s 20 most expensive co-op sales. Its newest resident, a vice president at Heyman Properties, whose portfolio includes the Financial District’s 61 Broadway and other commercial properties in Westchester and Connecticut, is also the son of the late GAF Corp. chairman Samual Heyman.
