The Dermot Company and AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust announced plans for a 616-unit, 43-story rental apartment building designed by SLCE Architects. The tower, the first of the five-building Riverside Center master development plan approved in December 2010, will feature 30,000 square feet of amenity space, 23,725 square feet of retail space and a four-story New York City public school in the base. Building amenities will include a pool, hot tub, fitness center, wine bar and lounge, children’s playroom and dog grooming area. Construction will be completed in 2015.
