NGFK nabs CBRE’s Kevin Shannon for top capital markets gig

Commercial brokerage NGKF has poached powerhouse broker Kevin Shannon, formerly of CBRE, to be president of its west coast capital markets team, The Real Deal has learned.

Shannon is joined by his team of 14 investment sales professionals from CBRE, including Ken White, who will serve as an executive managing director.

“Kevin Shannon has built an outstanding reputation as the top investment sales broker in the Western United States, and bringing him on board is a key milestone in our strategy to acquire the best talent in the nation,” said James Kuhn, president of NGKF. “We now hold a top position in three of the top six gateway coastal cities for investors, including Boston, Los Angeles and Seattle.”

Shannon has brokered some of the most significant commercial real estate deals in L.A., including the $437.5 million sale of One Wilshire in 2013.

He will be based out of NGKF’s El Segundo office, headed by Greg May.
