Who knew acclaimed actor Don Cheadle had a soft spot for flipping houses?
The prolific performer, who appeared in movies such as “Hotel Rwanda” and the “Iron Man” franchise, has listed his house in Venice for $2.5 million. The listing calls it an “emotional custom home.”
Cheadle bought the Oxford Triangle home in 2014 for $894,000, and has since entirely remodeled it. Now, the residence features 10-foot ceilings, a kitchen with a farmhouse sink and a rooftop deck big enough to fit another kitchen. Not to mention, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom house is “solar ready.”
According to the listing, the upgrades made to the 2,400-square-foot abode were courtesy of Bridgid Coulter Design, the eponymous company of Cheadle’s wife, Bridgid Coulter.
The actor is a long-time resident of Santa Monica, Curbed reported. According to PropertyShark, Cheadle used to own another property in Venice. He sold it for $926,009 in 2004. [Curbed] — Cathaleen Chen
