Hopefully, there’s no mummy hidden in this one.
The former home of actor Brendan Fraser is on the market for just under $4.5 million.
Located in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, the home on Readcrest Drive has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, totaling nearly 4,000 square feet of indoor space. Fraser, known for his role in “The Mummy” series as well as an array of 1990s screwball comedies, had the 1966-built property remodeled and redeveloped when he bought it in 1996. He owned the home until 2007.
Rodeo Realty Beverly Hills’ Ina Kagel is the current listing agent.
The modern-style residence features floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a media room, gym, wine cellar and a master suite with its own loft. There is also a dark room, as Fraser is an amateur photographer. Outside, there are two decks and a pool with waterfall and spa.
Property records show the house was acquired for $695,000 in 1996.
Since his success playing Rick O’Connell in “The Mummy” trilogy, the last of which came out in 2008, Fraser has starred in very few movies. His latest project, fantasy film “Behind the Curtain of Night,” is slated to come out later this year.
