In a true shocker, Tisch won the inaugural Jonathan Tisch Award for Leadership in Civic Responsibility Monday. The real estate heir and co-chairman of Loews Corporation is following in the footsteps of singer Taylor Swift, who in April won the inaugural Taylor Swift award.

NYU president Andrew Hamilton, who presented the award, also announced that the university’s Tisch Center will be renamed Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. Top that, Taylor Swift! — Konrad Putzier
