This week’s most eye-popping renderings include New York-based Lightstone Group‘s proposed high-rise towers, dubbed Fig + Pico, that would bring approximately 1,100 hotel rooms to South Park near the Los Angeles Convention Center. The project is being designed by Gensler and Yabu Pushelberg Studios. Fig+Pico would be Lightstone’s first project in Los Angeles. It plans to open an office Downtown this spring.

Updated renderings show Kilroy Realty‘s plan for its $300 million Academy project. The high- and low-rise buildings on the 3.5-acre site would include 250 apartments, 235,000 square feet of offices and 37,000 square feet of retail. The project is being designed by Shimoda Design Group.
