Movers & Shakers: Douglas Elliman recruits from Teles Properties, Wilshire Construction has new COO & more

Douglas Elliman has a newbie: Sunny Magner, who will be the company’s new VP of people and culture for the Western region. Not sure what that means? According to Elliman, Magner will coordinate office expansions, integrate new employees and lead recruitment efforts.

Magner joins the real estate firm from Teles Properties, where she was the director of operations, according to LinkedIn.

Meanwhile, Wilshire Construction company has recruited Randy Grosskopf from development and construction firm Lendlease Corporation. He will join the firm as its new chief operating officer. A licensed general contractor, Grasskopf will work with Wilshire founder and CEO Joe Wathen. With just 20 employees, the L.A. company serves as the construction manager for the $500 million mixed-used development Circa, located next to L.A. Live.

Grosskopf previously worked for the PENTA Building Group, Bernards and Turner Construction with clients such as Caruso Affiliated, Disney and the state of California. At Lendlease, he was a senior vice president and oversaw its 50-person L.A. office.

Lastly, Millie & Severson poached Mark Baranick from Perennial Engineering and Construction. He will be the company’s director of project development.
