Miami-Dade County reported an 18 percent decline in June hotel tax revenue, a development that adds to the challenges of financing a new baseball stadium in the midst of a severe downturn. Statistics put the current decline on pace with the annualized 16.8 percent drop in the 12 months after the September 11 terror attacks in 2001. For the fiscal year ending September 30, revenues are down 15 percent.
