Downtown Miami, which not too long ago was a ghost town, has been
thriving due to a growth in renters. “A few years ago, you couldn’t be
[downtown] at night without dogs and guns,” said William Richey, a
lawyer who lives in the Central Business District. “Now it’s full of
life.” A slew of new projects are on the way, including Brickell
CitiCentre
and the new Resorts World Miami, and nearly 30,000 more
people are living in the area compared to 10 years ago. “I never
expected it to be as vibrant as it is today,” said Andres de Corral, a
commercial broker. [WSJ]
