Pompano residents charged with fraud for mortgage rescue scheme

The Justice Department has charged two Pompano Beach residents with
allegedly operating a foreclosure rescue business that defrauded
homeowners, according to the South Florida Business Journal. Lisa Wright
and Cathy Shaffer ran a business called Foreclosure Solution
Specialists for three years, according to the indictment, which charges
that the two told homeowners that their homes would be sold to investors
and that they could stay in their homes until they were sold. [SFBJ]
