Citizens rate hikes inspire folk song

Citizens Property Insurance’s decision to raise some premiums has inspired one South Florida resident to protest — in song. Kevin Roth, a folk singer, posted a song called “Citi-Sins” to YouTube yesterday. “Governor Scott doesn’t plan to hit a recording studio on the issue anytime soon, but he and Kevin Roth have been singing a similar song [figuratively speaking],” said Lane Wright, Scott’s press secretary. “Citizens is broken.
